Flash Clap
To create an engaging installation which encourages interest in interactive design.

A self-initiated collaborative project, originally designed to encourage interest in interactive design.
Working together with Miyu Hayashi-Burns we created a pair of gloves which light up when the circuit is complete (Matching the + with the -), this could be achieved either with claping or high-fiving another participant.

As the circuit completes the gloves light up and a sound is played, the screen shows the history of moments captured whenever the circuit was completed. Some fun examples of how this system was used are participants creating a frame by frame story and using the coloumns to create mix and match bodies. The photos which were captured are also automatically uploaded to a flickr account so the audience can save them and keep the memory.

This project was very successful with not only children but adults too and was shown at many exhibitions as a result.
