To gain inspiration and references I researched defining features of Harborne and the surrounding area, the history of the school and Birmingham city's coat of arms. This research provided inspiring elements which I could use.

I produced a logo which was reflective of Harborne - it's hill is a defining feature as many settlements such as forts and churches were created there due to the elevated advantage. The logo also included modern typography to show the academy was looking towards the future while also being aware of its history.
